Nadia is a commissioning editor at Orbit, the fantasy, science fiction and horror imprint of Little, Brown Book Group. She’s looking for immersive and expansive fantasy, science fiction and horror.
Nadia loves anything with a strong romance plot, close-knit casts of characters and memorable worlds. She’s particularly on the hunt for a sweeping quest fantasy, magical academia, folk, gothic and cosmic horror, and just about anything that features courtly intrigue and Machiavellian politics.
Her list includes the cult phenomenon A Dowry of Blood (S.T. Gibson), fantasy rom-com The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy (Megan Bannen), Egyptian feminist fantasy The Daughters of Izdihar (Hadeer Elsbai) and magical faerie romance Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries (Heather Fawcett).
Nadia strongly believes that books should reflect the world around us, and is keen to work with authors from diverse backgrounds, to help discover exciting new voices and to support Asian women writers.
Nadia is available for consultation or submission assessment.
