Lucy Morris

Lucy is a literary agent at Curtis Brown, where she represents novelists and non-fiction writers including Hazel Barkworth, Cash Carraway, Chịkọdịlị Emelụmadụ, Shobna Gulati, Elizabeth Lee and Gillian McAllister. She is also a judge for the Women’s Prize Trust’s Discoveries Prize for an unpublished novel-in-progress. She is excited to read work from emerging Asian women writers and through mentoring to champion new voices and offer the support and guidance to take the next steps towards a successful writing career.

In both fiction and non-fiction Lucy is always drawn to brilliant social observation and clever storytelling. She loves structural conceits and deftly woven plots, writing with purpose – and a sense of mischief.

Lucy is currently looking for commercial and reading-group novels written with wit and warmth, irresistible contemporary romance, ghost stories that chill to the bone, and thrillers with a high concept and strong emotional roots.

Lucy is available for consultation and submission assessment.
