Hayley is a literary agent at the Madeleine Milburn Literary Agency, specialising in commercial and book-club fiction.
She joined the agency in 2016 after working in publicity, where she was nominated for a Publishers’ Publicity Circle award. She represents authors such as Clare Pooley, Ronali Collings, Henry Fry and Yomi Adegoke and was named a Rising Star in The Bookseller in 2019.
Hayley is excited about discovering Asian women writers because so often they are pushed into a more literary space and she’s hopeful to find some brilliant, fun, and entertaining commercial fiction.
She is looking for commercial and book-club fiction across all genres including suspense and mystery; character-driven thrillers; upmarket women’s fiction; general character-led fiction; captivating love stories; high concept novels; emotional epics; complex characters and cross-genre books.
