Emma is a literary agent at C&W, where she is lucky enough to represent authors writing everything from literary fiction to romcoms, and from high-concept thrillers to upmarket mystery and crime novels, as well as memoir and narrative non-fiction. She joined the agency in 2014 and her authors include Ellery Lloyd, Laura Kay, Imogen Crimp, Tracey Lien, Elinor Cleghorn and Aniefiok Ekpoudom.
She is passionate about developing new voices and championing authors from underrepresented backgrounds, so she is thrilled to support emerging Asian women writers and help nurture their talent.
Within the broad genres she represents, Emma is always looking for big family stories or perfectly observed books about relationships like Early Morning Riser, stylish and suspenseful novels with a strong sense of place like Little Fires Everywhere, ambitious and compelling reads in the vein of Homegoing, anything with a brilliant twist like Fingersmith – the list goes on!
