Anna is a literary agent and the Managing Director of Johnson & Alcock and represents a diverse list of fiction and non-fiction.
She’s on the lookout for new voices in literary and bookclub fiction, and enjoys emotionally engrossing stories about families and relationships, as well as books that deal with social issues and historical legacies. She is drawn to distinctive voices, and to funny or unsettling narrators with a bit of bite. She would also love to be sent a well-plotted crime or suspense novel, and to help achieve better representation for Asian writers in this dominant genre.
Asian writers that Anna represents include Balli Kaur Jaswal (a Reese’s Book Club author) as well as recent debut author Nilopar Uddin.
